Jasper stared at the door in front of him, contemplating his options. He could either gather the courage to face the other Skylord, or turn tail and never mention a word to him. He decided by rasping his knuckles against the wooden frame.

There was a moment of silence before he got a reply. "Who is it?" Lysander growled.

The red Skylord flinched slightly at the roughness of the other's voice, gulping quietly. "J-Jasper," he managed to get out. He waited patiently for some kind of response, jumping when the door was almost slammed open.

"What do you want?" The glare Lysander was giving him made Jasper force himself not to shudder, trying to look as submissive as he could.

"I-I just wanted to talk to y-you about something," he stammered, trying to keep his voice as still as he could. He could feel his heart pounding against his ribcage in a panic.

The other Skylord raised an eyebrow before sighing loudly and stepping out of the door way. "Fine. Come in then," he grumbled reluctantly. Jasper nodded and carefully crept in, jumping when the door was slammed not two inches behind him. "What do you want to talk about anyways?"

The red Skylord took a deep breath to try and calm himself, clasping his hands together to try and keep them from shaking. He looked up slowly, gathering his thoughts to form a proper sentence. "I-I've been wanting to tell y-you something for a while now, and since t-there's the chance that I might die I-"

"What do you mean die?" Lysander cut him off. "Didn't you hear anything that Xephos said?" He glared at him, obviously irritated by him.

Jasper shook his head slightly. "E-Even so, there's still a chance." He paused for a few seconds, taking another deep breath to calm down again. "Anyways," he muttered under his breath. "I-I just wanted to tell you t-that...I-I love you." His breath caught in his throat at the realization that he had finally said it.

The other arched an eyebrow, but his glare didn't let up the slightest bit. They stared at each other for a few moments; Lysander cold as he had been lately, and Jasper almost shaking with fear.

The blue Skylord suddenly turned around, walking away from the other man. Jasper's eyes widened in fear reaching a hand out to him. "L-Lysander," he murmured, his fingers brushing against his shoulder.

Lysander spun around, almost back handing him as he glared at him more than he had already been. "What?!" He snapped, his hands clenching into fists at his sides.

Jasper jumped and get wide eyes, biting down on his lip to try and force tears that were threatening to appear in his eyes. "Lysander, p-please give me a chance," he begged, starting to shake more.

The other laughed mockingly and continued to glare at him. "What in the name of Notch would ever give you the idea that I would love someone like you!" Jasper was frozen with terror, a few tears he had been holding back running down his face.

Then something snapped in the back of his mind.

Before he could even realize what he was doing, he was pulling the other into a kiss. Even though he knew he was going to regret it, the few moments of their lips being pressed together was pure bliss for him. That was, until the other Skylord bit down on his bottom lip harshly.

Jasper yelped and pulled away, a trickle of blood running down his chin from where his lip had been torn. He looked up at the other man with wide eyes, quickly realizing just how much of a mistake he had made.

Lysander roughly grabbed him by the shoulders and slammed him against the wall, the back of his skull cracking against the surface. The red Skylord whimpered loudly at the pain, more tears starting to fall down his cheeks. "L-L-Lysander," he started to beg, his voice cracking.

The man growled and slammed him against the wall again, causing him to see stars for a second. "Do not say my name like that," he growled, his fingers tightening painfully against the other's shoulders. His eyes narrowed as he glared at him before letting go. "Leave."

A chocked sob broke from his lips as he looked at him with wide eyes. "P-P-Please, Lysander. I'm s-sorr-" The sound of skin on skin echoed through the room as Lysander back handed him.

"I said, leave," he said before spinning around and walking away from him.

Jasper wrapped his arms around himself as he watched the other leave. "I-I'm sorry," he whispered before turning and running away.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Sobs were being torn from Jasper's lips every few seconds as he was curled up on his bed, clinging tightly to the pillow pressed against his chest. He had been running his tongue over the place where he had been bitten, still being able to find a slight hint of the metallic taste. He whimpered loudly as he buried his face into the pillow.

His body shook from the force of his sobs, but his tears had stopped a long time ago. It hurt. It absolutely hurt, realizing that he didn't matter. That nobody cared about him. His breathing coming out in ragged gasps as he curled up even tighter. He hated himself. They were going to be facing Israphel soon and here he was, a broken mess crying in his bedroom.

Jasper slowly opened his eyes, staring at the wall across from him. He really hated himself. He hated the mission, everyone involved with it, and he hated his life. He just wanted to die.

His eyes slowly unfocused as he started to get lost in thought. After a few moments, he smiled sadly and slowly lied down on his side, curling up as tight as possible. Xephos and all of them may have their own plan, but he had his own as well.

The sacrifice wasn't going to be faked.
EDIT: Re-submitting it because I totally re-wrote the ending since I hated the last one.

The second part for :iconzuperzora89:.

;-; I'm so sorry I hurt you, Jasper. I LOVE YOU!!! <.< >.> Anyways....Yeeeeah. Don't ask. This Lysander is different from my actual Lysander. I-I don't even know where this one came from. I don't really have much to say other than I'm sorry, poor Jasper.

What made writing this even more awkward was that my cat who's named Jasper was sitting either in my lap or curled up next to me being all cute and I was like "Fffff. Stop making me feel more guilty."

The ending's going to be much more sad/happy then this. I promise.
